Parra Capital obtains its vehicles from dealer wholesalers, new car dealers with trade-ins, and strategically chosen Adesa and Manheim auctions throughout the United States. Our vehicles are off-lease and repossessed units from fleet/lease companies, banks, financial institutions, and the manufacturers' financial arms.
Procuring cars from the United States has many advantages
- Large pre-owned car market — made up of fleet leases, bank repossessions ("repos"), and trade-ins
- American cars under leasing receive better interior and exterior maintenance and more periodic mechanical maintenance, as car owners expect to trade them in every 3 to 5 years
- Most of these vehicles under leasing are limited in the number of miles that can be put on and are held to a maintenance contract
- Engines and transmissions in American cars are in excellent condition, as the vehicles experience mostly highway driving and lower stop-and-go conditions
- US cars tend to be more "loaded" than in other countries — U.S. consumers demand more appealing and attractive features
- US cars observe the same rules and regulations for vehicle operation as all Latin American countries
- By comparison, Japanese cars require a change to the steering wheel for left-side driving, which inherently degrades the vehicle's performance
- American cars meet strict carbon monoxide and A/C gas emission standards for controlling pollution and not causing damage to the ozone layer
We only buy vehicles that, after inspection…
1) Receive a clean/extra clean classification by our suppliers
- The interior and exterior of all our vehicles are in excellent condition
2) Are in optimal mechanical condition
- Our mechanics conduct rigid tests on the engine, transmission, alignment, brakes, and air conditioner of all the cars we consider for purchasing
